WELCOME TO MY NEW WEBSITE!
I felt it was time to change the design and photographs on my personal site – as well as the domain name. My old site (wild-photos.co.uk) was slow and did not really work on mobiles which are now one of the main sources of website traffic. It was also unintentionally too close to the domain name of the Wildscreen Photography Festival. So I'm more comfortable simply using my name.
The video below appears on my partner wildlife artist Gary Hodges' website because it features him with about a thousand spinner dolphins in the waters off Costa Rica. I shot it - and it is at moments like this I have my most intense inpiration for life.
As you can see I now have a blog to vent my thoughts and the site will soon be linked to a Facebook page, a Twitter and a Pinterest account. A good friend of mine chastised me a few years ago for not passing on my “experience and wisdom (!)” after 25 years in the environmental movement. I’m sure I’ll be lucky if anyone even reads this blog, but at last I thought I would give it a go. It is my intention to comment on photography, wildlife, conservation and some human rights issues. As an avid news reader I’m sure I’ll be vocal on a few other issues as well. Let’s see how it goes for the next year or so. If you’re reading this I’m sure you’re relatively unique! Now that can’t be a bad thing.
